Back to 2D: Pixel Art Training with Aseprite
I decided to learn pixel art by immersing myself in the Game Boy universe. Here's the result of my first exercise: a series of characters created with Aseprite, with constraints inspired by retro games.
The challenge:
Resolution: 64×64 pixels.
Style: Game Boy (4 colors max).
Animations: Idle in 2 frames (GIF).
Rendering: Clean and legible.
This exercise allowed me to master the basics of pixel art while respecting the aesthetics of 8-bit games. Next step: adding walking and jumping animations.
